I stumbled through the woods of Nevergoogleland, my head pounding and my stomach churning. The night before had been a blur of cheap drinks and wild partying, and now I was paying the price.
As I stumbled through the underbrush, I came upon a small pond. The water was still and dark, reflecting the moonlight like a mirror. I collapsed onto the muddy bank, too weak to move any further.
But as I lay there, something began to stir in the depths of the pond. A low growling sound filled the air, and I felt a cold hand wrap around my ankle.
I tried to pull away, but the grip was too strong. Slowly, I was dragged into the water, my screams muffled by the murky depths.
For hours, I thrashed and fought against whatever was dragging me down. But as the sun began to rise, I felt my strength slipping away.
That’s when I saw it – a grotesque creature rising from the depths of the pond. Its skin was slimy and green, its eyes glowing red with hunger.
I tried to run, but it was too late. The creature grabbed me by the neck and dragged me back into the water, where it devoured me whole.
And now, as a ghost, I haunt that pond, warning others to stay away from its treacherous depths. Beware the creature that lurks within – for if you’re not careful, it will claim you too.
