The Woman in White

The Woman in White: A Grave Mistake

I can still remember that night in the abandoned cemetery in Nevergoogleland like it was yesterday. It was supposed to be a harmless prank, just a bit of fun with my friends. But it turned into a nightmare that I’ll never forget.

We had heard rumors about the cemetery being haunted, and we wanted to check it out for ourselves. We snuck in after dark, armed with flashlights and a sense of adventure. We wandered through the overgrown graves, trying to scare each other with silly ghost stories.

That’s when we saw her – a figure in white, floating among the tombstones. We froze, unsure if what we were seeing was real or just our imaginations running wild. But as she drew closer, we knew that this was no ghost.

She was a woman, pale and beautiful, but with a look of sadness etched into her features. She glided towards us, her eyes fixed on mine. And then she spoke – a low, mournful voice that sent shivers down my spine.

“I died here,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I was buried alive, and no one ever came to save me.”

I tried to run, but my legs wouldn’t move. The woman approached me, reaching out with her cold, clammy hands. And then I felt it – a sharp pain in my chest, as if something was tearing me apart from the inside.

I woke up hours later, lying on the ground in the cemetery. My friends were gone, and I was alone with my thoughts. I realized then that we had made a terrible mistake by coming here. We had disturbed something that we should have left alone.

I never forgot about that night, and I never went back to the abandoned cemetery. But the memory of the woman in white stayed with me, haunting me for years to come. I felt sorry for what we had done, for the way we had disrespected the dead. And I knew that I would never be able to make it right.
