The Curse of the Haunted House

The Curse of the Haunted House

A young couple, John and Mary, decided to purchase an old house. The home had been abandoned for years and was in need of some tender loving care. The couple moved in, not knowing the horrors that awaited them.

One night, as they were settling into their new home, John heard what sounded like a ghostly whisper coming from the hallway. He called out for Mary, but there was no answer. He cautiously made his way down the hall and was startled to see a spectral figure standing in the corner.

The figure was shrouded in a long, dark cloak and had a hood covering its face. It said nothing, but slowly pointed to the back of the house. John shivered in fear and ran back to his bedroom to wake Mary.

Together, they crept down the hall and cautiously opened the door to the back room of the house. Inside was an ancient crypt filled with skeletons and old bones. The couple felt a chill run down their spine as they realized they weren’t alone in this house.

Suddenly, they heard a low moaning coming from one of the crypts. John slowly opened the lid and found a woman lying inside, her skin pale and her eyes sunken in. She reached out her hand, imploring them to help her.

John and Mary quickly gathered her up and carried her out of the crypt. As they did, she mumbled something about a curse that bound her to the house. She begged them to break the curse or else their fate would be her own.

John and Mary ran out of the house and never looked back. But ever since that night, they’ve heard the low moaning of the cursed woman coming from their old house.
