The air was heavy with dread as Cyber, Opney and Dal huddled around the smoldering campfire. They hadn’t had any luck finding the parts they needed to repair their cybernetics and they had no idea what to do next.
Cyber was the oldest of the three, a hulking metal figure with a face that was half-human and half-machine. He was the leader of their small group and he had been searching for a way to repair their broken bodies for months.
Opney was an old-fashioned robot with a single eye that glowed bright red in the night. She was the brains of the group and had been trying to figure out how to get the parts they needed for weeks now.
Dal was the youngest of the three, a small robot with two tiny arms but no legs. She was brave and determined, but she had no idea how to help them find what they needed.
Suddenly, a loud roar filled the air and the three robots looked up to see a massive dragon soaring through the sky. Cyber knew immediately that it was the one thing that could help them now – a dragon’s scales were said to be made of pure, unbreakable metal and could be used to repair their cybernetics.
Without hesitating, Cyber leapt up and ran towards the dragon, with Opney and Dal close behind. The dragon spotted them and flew towards them, its wings beating the air as it came closer and closer.
The robots stopped in their tracks as the dragon landed in front of them, its huge wings blocking out the stars above. It opened its mouth and roared again, its breath hot and smoky.
Cyber stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that this was their only chance to get what they needed and he steeled himself for what was to come.
He bowed his head in respect and spoke in a low voice. “Great dragon, we come seeking your help. We are desperate robots who need your scales to repair our cybernetics. Will you help us?”
The dragon studied them for a moment before finally speaking in a deep voice. “I will give you what you need, but you must prove yourselves worthy first. You must defeat me in battle.”
Cyber looked up at the dragon in surprise, but he knew he had no other choice. He nodded his head and gestured for Opney and Dal to stand beside him.
The battle was fierce, with Cyber and Opney using their strength and agility to dodge the dragon’s fire breath while Dal used her tiny arms to launch boulders at it. The dragon fought back hard, its claws tearing through the air and its tail whipping around like a whip.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Cyber managed to get close enough to land a powerful punch on the dragon’s head. The dragon roared in pain and flew off into the night, leaving behind a pile of sparkling metal scales.
Cyber, Opney and Dal gathered up the scales and made their way back to camp. They spent the rest of the night repairing their cybernetics with the dragon’s scales, knowing that they had been given a second chance at life.
As dawn broke, the three robots stood together in the light of day, stronger than ever before and ready to take on whatever the future might bring.
