Darkness enveloped the room as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. The clock on my nightstand ticked away the minutes, mocking me with its incessant sound. Another sleepless night. My insomnia had taken over my life, leaving me exhausted and helpless.
As the hours passed, I tried everything to clear my mind and drift off to sleep. I counted sheep, listened to soothing music, and even drank chamomile tea. But nothing worked. So, I lay there, trapped in my own mind, until the sun began to rise.
It was then that I heard a knock at my door. I hesitated before getting up, wondering who could be there so early in the morning. As I opened the door, a man in a blue jumpsuit stood before me. He introduced himself as an electrician, sent to fix a power outage in the area.
I showed him to the basement where the electrical panel was located. He got to work, and I went back to my bedroom to try and get some rest. But my hopes were quickly dashed when I heard a loud crash coming from the basement.
Curiosity getting the better of me, I made my way down the stairs to see what had happened. What I saw made my blood run cold. The electrician lay motionless on the ground, his body contorted in an unnatural position.
As I stood there in shock, I noticed something strange about the electrical panel. It was glowing with an eerie green light and seemed to be pulsing with a life of its own.
Suddenly, the lights flickered, and a jolt of electricity shot out of the panel, hitting me square in the chest. I felt a surge of energy coursing through my body as my mind was flooded with terrifying images.
I saw the electrician’s twisted body rising from the ground, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. He was no longer human; he was a creature of pure energy, driven by a thirst for revenge.
As he advanced towards me, I realized that my insomnia had brought me to this moment. I had opened a door to a world beyond my understanding, and now I was paying the price.
The electrician’s glowing eyes bore into mine as he raised his hand, ready to strike. But before he could, the lights flickered again, and he disappeared into the electrical panel.
I stumbled back up the stairs, my mind reeling from the experience. I knew then that I would never sleep peacefully again. The electrician had shown me the true horror that lay hidden in the darkness, and I was forever cursed to bear witness to it.
